Final Project #3

Genre Research  

    For my short film "The Cycle" I decided that it is going to be a drama. I wanted to do some research on the genre to help me later on in the project. The drama genre is one of the oldest film genres there is but the main goal of a drama is not just to tell a good story. A drama is supposed to make you feel connected to the characters and relate to them. I want my film to be able to connect to viewers and hopefully inspire others to try to make films.

More Inspiration 

    Paul Greengrass is well known for his drama movies and is one of my favorite drama directors. Greengrass has filmed movies like "News of The World" "Captain Phillips" and "22 July". These films make viewers feel connected to the main characters while telling an amazing story. I love Greengrass's use of storytelling and how he develops the characters in the story.
